If you just google it, you get a list of the best ranking Life Sciences Universities in the country you are interested in. BUT! Biology can be different: fundamental (e.g. Molecular Biology and Human Biology) and applied (e.g. #Bioengineering and #Biotechnology). Well, I can't offer you #Hogwarts, but in this post I want to share very good options to study in both fundamental and applied directions.
This list is not provided on opinion of some special committee who give points and ranks (I am not sure if it is always truly deserved though) , rather on real stories and real students who study there and share their experience.
If you are thinking about career in academia , i.e. you like to give lectures , share your knowledge , do brainstorming, apply for grants, lead your own lab , discover cellular mechanisms and dream about Nobel prize , it means you are more into fundamental biology .
If you still want to implement your ideas and lead the group, get paid by science , definitely choose industry.
Or if you like me , are willing to perform a high-class research and try yourself in both directions, read this POST !
